Welcome to the xBloom-the Coffee Folks SG subscription service where you’ll get access to fresh coffee beans roasted by some of the best roasters in town as well as the roaster’s recipe and brew interpretation for the beans. Now you can truly experience the same coffeehouse experience in the comforts of your home with your loved ones through the xPods.

xPods Subscription

Every month, we would be highlighting and featuring a local roaster and their beans. This would be the subscription coffee of the month and if you’ve selected a single bag regardless of 3/6/12 months period, we would be posting out the subscription coffee by the end of the first week of the month. You should be able to receive in 1-2 working days after.

Mail Out Date: By 7th of the month

Cut Off Date: 28th of the month

 

How does it work?

If you’ve gone with the 1 bag selection, you would automatically get the subscription coffee of the month. If you’ve gone with the 3-bag selection and if we have 3 featured roasters for the month, you will automatically get one of each. If you’ve gone with the 4-bag selection option, we would offer one of each coffees including the subscription coffee of the month.

If you’ve select 2 bags or more coffees for that month, you would be getting the subscription coffee of the month alongside one other selection from other roasters available for the month. Do keep in mind that even if you’ve selected the same roaster for a 3/6/12 months period, the coffees you’ll receive from the same roaster would be a different one. If you’ve missed the cut-off date for subscription, we would be mailing out your beans the following month.

If we are sold out of coffees from your preferred roaster for the month, we would replace it with the subscription coffee roaster by default. If you’ll like us to replace it with another roaster of choice for the month, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

All subscriptions are required to get local courier/postage and the process would be automated after subscription. If you’ll like to choose to pick it up in person or opt for an alternative arrangement, please get in touch with us first over email before subscribing.

The subscriptions will expire by the end of the time period that you have chosen. If you’ve selected the 3 month period, you will not be billed from the 4th month onwards. We apologise that we are not able to entertain early cancellations so do keep that in mind before purchasing the subscription.

 

The Morning Star Series

The Single Coffee xPods has been carefully curated by The Coffee Folks SG team in conjunction with select coffee roasters in Singapore to provide the community with varieties of fresh brews on demand. The xPods are a culmination of months of repeated coffee testing and recipe calibration, aimed at recreating a similar experience to having a cuppa on the coffeehouses premises.

The Morning Star Series represent the first of the several selections that The Coffee Folks SG team has worked with local roasters, and is positioned as a pourover coffee that would cater to a wide group of drinkers. The characteristics of the coffee are intended as bright, not overly complex, good body and overall a balanced cup.

The Arctic Rush Series

The Arctic Rush is the hotly anticipated follow up to the ever-green Morning Star Series, where specialty drip coffee gets expressed in an ice filter format. Expect stronger natural coffees, fermented coffees to join the fray  and be that much-needed reprieve to the hot, blazing weeks on the sunny island that never cease to let up.

The characteristics of the coffee can vary from something that is wine-like to a fruity tea sensation. We personally think if you are looking to get someone started on drip but have trouble getting them past the acidity in a hot cup of drip, look no further than the Arctic Rush series.

The Roasters Selection Series

The Roasters Selection series is an entirely new series where we curate and procure coffee selection from some of the most popular coffeehouse and roasters here in Singapore. Currently, we have Nylon Coffee as one of the very first roasters ever onboarded on this series with more to come. With 13 years of running operations as a specialty coffee outfit with fans from Singapore and from afar, we are proud to feature them as one of the first roasters on the Roaster Selection series.

September xPods

This month promises to be quite the treat with two exciting coffees from two of our favourite Kampong Bahru roasters – Doubleshot Coffee and Nylon Coffee Roasters. For us it’s always quite a treat when a Gesha variety shows up on our list of curated xPods and for this month, we’ve got quite the one for you from you guessed it, Peru. Expect popular taste notes like nectarine, lemon zest style acidity with black tea afterfinish.  Juan Herrera with over 20 years of experience under his belt, together with his brother Marcos has help to drive as one of the leading coffee producers out of the country. Peruvian coffees are definitely one to watch this year and going forward.

 

If juicy, bright coffees with plenty of berries in the cup are your type of thing, you’ll be delighted that we’re following up with last month’s Kenya with another Kenya this month but in the washed processing. The deep red volcanic soils of Mt Kenya rich in phosphorus, and steady mountain rainfall of about 1,500 mm a year create ideal conditions for coffee. Kiamwangi’s farmers grow predominantly classic SL28 and SL34 – the timeless backbone of Nyeri’s high-altitude profiles, with only minor traces of newer disease-resistant varieties in the wider cooperative catchment -and together they produce around 150,000 kg of cherry per year, harvested across two seasons – April to July and October to December, with the main harvest typically running from October to January.

The other thing worthy of note would be this coffee is actually from this year’s harvest and one can definitely taste the vibrancy of the currants and cranberry in the cup. Brewed it hot or iced, you won’t be disappointed.

Payments & Shipping/Delivery Policies

The Coffee Folks accepts the following payment methods:

A PDF invoice will be sent via text/email upon confirmation of payment on the same day. This invoice is to be used as Proof of Purchase for warranty or exchange claims purposes.

The Coffee Folks guarantees same-day delivery (if order is made and payment received before 3pm on a working day) or the next available working day delivery (if order is made and payment received after 3pm). Delivery will be made via local couriers at a stipulated time period (Morning/Afternoon).

Special arrangements during off-working hours can be arranged beforehand at an additional cost.

Local Warranty

The Coffee Folks warrants the Product against defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery of the purchase. This is for products which are purchased directly through our store.

We will cover the cost to repair or replace at our own discretion, any product that is found wanting or defective in workmanship or materials.

Please take note the following are not covered:

  • Modified Products
  • Third Party Damage incurred during shipping, drops, abuse, spills,
  • Inappropriate usage including commercial use on a home-designated item
  • Overtime wear and tear due to usage of item
  • Aesthetic blemishes when not affecting functionality of item

Return Policies

Return & Warranty Policy

Please review our Return & Warranty Policy carefully before making a purchase.

  1. Electrical Products

Electrical products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

Returns, exchanges, repairs, or replacements may be provided on a case-by-case basis if the product is found to be faulty or defective due to a manufacturing defect. (e.g there are no exchanges for buyers’ remorse)

The warranty does not cover damage or faults resulting from misuse, improper handling, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, improper maintenance, unauthorised modifications or repairs, or any damage caused by the user.

Proof of purchase may be required for all warranty claims. We also recommend keeping the original packaging and accessories to facilitate the warranty assessment process.

  1. Non-Electrical Products

All non-electrical products are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once purchased, except where the product is found to be defective at the time of purchase or where otherwise required by applicable law.

Change of Mind / Cancellation

For both electrical and non-electrical products, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations due to a change of mind, including but not limited to situations where the customer no longer wants or needs the product, has purchased the wrong item, or finds the same or a similar product at a lower price elsewhere.

Once an order has been confirmed and payment has been completed, the order is considered final and cannot be cancelled or refunded due to a change of mind, including before dispatch or delivery.

The Coffee Folks Singapore reserves the right to assess warranty, return, and exchange requests on a case-by-case basis, subject to applicable Singapore consumer protection laws.
