The Orea V4 Negotiator is designed as a mold based on the inside geometry of the OREA V4 narrow and O1 brewer. Compared to the 185 Waved paper, the brewer now can experience a different way to brew with the OREA Brewers using a lower bypass filter fit to reach higher extractions and explore a different brew method within the same brewing system.
It is intended to work and shine with flat circular papers, like the OREA flat paper Type “G” & Type “C”, or Sibarist FAST flat filter (OREA special edition).
In the same spirit of the modular V4 brewer, the Negotiator also uses a modular design to help one take advantage of the different brewers in the V4 system, but minimising the amount of material used and the amount of money one have to spend. The V4 Negotiator consists of two main parts:
The FLAT body (works with all 3 flat bottoms in the V4)
The APEX tips (works with the conical bottom in the V4) – each Negotiator comes with two
When OREA started testing the V4 conical brewer, they realised that there is a lot of room to innovate in the conical space. Manipulating the arc of the apex can drastically change the profile in the cup. All V4 negotiators ship with a blunt apex and a sharper one – to let brewers experience different styles of conical brewing. Generally, as one make the shape more “pointy”, you get sharper acidity and less sweetness. The different APEX tips let you experience a world between traditional conical and flat bottoms – it’s really a new space to play within.
If you’re new to drippers, you may be wondering why the Negotiator? The idea behind “negotiating” the paper to fit perfectly in the brewer is to ensure that more water is able to travel directly downwards through the coffee bed and not around it. This leads to more consistency and better extractions. It’s not just a matter of higher extractions, rather higher quality extractions.
By using this method, you also open up the bed more, using more space and opening up more space in the brewer compared to the wave filters. All of this contributes to a unique profile that people love.

A PDF invoice will be sent via text/email upon confirmation of payment on the same day. This invoice is to be used as Proof of Purchase for warranty or exchange claims purposes.
The Coffee Folks guarantees same-day delivery (if order is made and payment received before 3pm on a working day) or the next available working day delivery (if order is made and payment received after 3pm). Delivery will be made via local couriers at a stipulated time period (Morning/Afternoon).
Special arrangements during off-working hours can be arranged beforehand at an additional cost.
Local Warranty
The Coffee Folks warrants the Product against defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery of the purchase. This is for products which are purchased directly through our store.
We will cover the cost to repair or replace at our own discretion, any product that is found wanting or defective in workmanship or materials.
Please take note the following are not covered:
- Modified Products
- Third Party Damage incurred during shipping, drops, abuse, spills,
- Inappropriate usage including commercial use on a home-designated item
- Overtime wear and tear due to usage of item
- Aesthetic blemishes when not affecting functionality of item

Return & Warranty Policy
Please review our Return & Warranty Policy carefully before making a purchase.
- Electrical Products
Electrical products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.
Returns, exchanges, repairs, or replacements may be provided on a case-by-case basis if the product is found to be faulty or defective due to a manufacturing defect. (e.g there are no exchanges for buyers’ remorse)
The warranty does not cover damage or faults resulting from misuse, improper handling, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, improper maintenance, unauthorised modifications or repairs, or any damage caused by the user.
Proof of purchase may be required for all warranty claims. We also recommend keeping the original packaging and accessories to facilitate the warranty assessment process.
- Non-Electrical Products
All non-electrical products are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once purchased, except where the product is found to be defective at the time of purchase or where otherwise required by applicable law.
Change of Mind / Cancellation
For both electrical and non-electrical products, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations due to a change of mind, including but not limited to situations where the customer no longer wants or needs the product, has purchased the wrong item, or finds the same or a similar product at a lower price elsewhere.
Once an order has been confirmed and payment has been completed, the order is considered final and cannot be cancelled or refunded due to a change of mind, including before dispatch or delivery.
