February xPods
Happy to have on two long-time roasteries and coffeehouses from the local scene, Maxi Coffee Bar and Nylon Coffee back on the month of February.
There’s a reason why we keep featuring and bringing back Nylon Coffee on our roaster selection – they’ve cemented themselves as one of the most consistent and formidable roasters on the sunny island. For this month, the Las Huertas makes a return and was featured on the roster around May 2025 last year. Also the subscription coffee for Nylon internal subscription this month, this Pink Bourbon variety has its roots interestingly traced back to Ethiopian parentage. You can expect soft, delicate notes with crowd-favourite notes of peach and clementine and a whiff of hibiscus in a gentle silkish finish.
Maxi Coffee, a long-time local roaster endeavours to bring more unique varieties and roast to the game. This month’s feature – the Finca V&G (Vargas and Gutierrez) is the brainchild of two aspiring innovators looking to elevate the coffee growing in West Valley, Costa Rica. The farm’s landscape is truly one that is of forward thinking, lush with shade tree and green cover crops and blending technology into one with agriculture. Sourced from well known greens trader Tri-up Sea, the Finca V&G H1 is a slow dried fermented natural coffee with notes of orange, wine and stewed forest berries. This is one coffee that is bound to have your visitors during Chinese New Year asking for more.
