We bring back some of the most well-loved coffee roasters, Roundboy Coffee Roasters and Maxi Coffee Roasters with interesting twists to this month’s lineup.
Any serious coffee enthusiasts would know how juicy and berries-like Kenyans washed can be but what about Kenyans with a good old natural sun-dried processing? Processed by Kioru Farmers Co-operative Society in Murang’a, Kenya, these coffees are grown at an altitude of 1632 masl and known for their grape-like tasting notes and fruit forward acidity.
If you’ve always preferred the Kenyans washed with a bit more personality and punch while retaining their juicy and fruit-forward tasting notes of plums and raisins, this Kenyan Kioru roasted by Roundboy Coffee Roasters is for you.
Coffee is ever evolving and changing as we know it, and Maxi Coffee Roasters who set out on a mission to never get comfortable on their laurels and showcase more interesting and exotic varietals of coffee this year, brings to the table a Brazilian coffee with a twist.
The Fazenda Sanctuario Sul is anything but a low-acidic, run of the mill Brazilian with the typical nutty chocolately tasting notes. Backed by innovative processing methods and respect for the environment, the Sanctuario farm employs Yellow Bourbon as their cornerstone but also plants up to 20 global varietals for experimentation within Brazilian soil. Every season, the producers of Luiz Paulo Pereira and Camilo Merizalde take it upon them to experiment with different processing methods and push the limits of traditional coffee growing and farming.
The Starmaya variety is unique as it is the first F1 hybrid propogated by seed and the tasting notes of starfruit, plums and golden raisins will catch you offguard like it did for us. Going at the bag of $28SGD for bag of 8, it is the highlight and the star coffee of the month.
