June xPods
It’s truly a month of clean coffees galore from Peru and Ethiopia from Nylon Coffee and for the first time ever, 2nd Mile Specialty Coffee with coffees roasted by Doubleshot Coffee (for the month’s WOC Bangkok showcase).
The Ethiopian Alos has been making waves for the best possible reasons, with well known producer Tamiru Tadesse bringing some of the state-of-the art fermentation and processing techniques to the coffee land of washing stations.
This is a great classic of example of a clean, floral and tea-like coffee with more punch and expressiveness to it. With very classic tasting notes like blueberry, peach and earl grey, this is one great coffee we recommend to get folks converted onto drinking filter. At the current prices going per bag, the Alo Classic is truly a steal and believe us
Nylon Coffee brings a Peruvian Natural to the table with this month, sourced from their partners Chacra. The coffee is a culmination of the hard work of farmer William who started in coffee cultivation back in 2008 and was struggling to get breakthroughs planting catimor, caturra and typica varieties. He took risks in 2020 by planting more exotic varieties such as gesha, while adapting to the challenges to the farm and had to deal with pest issues such as rust and anthracnose. Today, he has overcome the challenges and work with the same passion that has led him to the quality of his coffee featured on the June’s xPods showcase.
